Our WHY is BIG! We NEED you on June 25th!
Crazy Love Africa has been dreaming of what our Sisterhood Community Center would look like on the land we purchased a couple of years ago. After working with an architect in Uganda, we finally have plans for the construction to begin! As you may have guessed, this does not come without a cost. This year, with your support, the money raised will be going toward helping Crazy Love Africa begin the building of our Sisterhood Community Center. Our Crazy Love sisters are extremely excited to get this space built so they can start holding community events, training classes, space to make all their crafts, and so much more!
With your participation in the Crazy Legs 5K and/or your generous donation, we can partner together to reach our goal. We have a goal to raise at least $10,000 from the race registration and donations. Thank you for being part of this DREAM come true for our Ugandan sisters!
Why Crazy Legs?
The “Crazy Legs” theme came directly from our name Crazy Love Africa. After our founder, Jess, and her husband, Ben adopted their 7th child from Uganda, so many people stated how “CRAZY” it was that they were adopting again! Jess immediately called this “Crazy Love!” The following year our nonprofit was born and the crazy love hasn’t stopped. The Crazy Love Africa sisters and staff are a group full of joy! To keep with our beautiful spirit we ask that you wear some CRAZY, fun socks on your race day! We can’t wait to see all the photos on social media of you wearing your awesome CrazyLeg 5k socks! Let’s have some fun together! Don’t forget to use our race day hashtags: #CrazyLoveAfrica #CrazyLegs5k and tag @crazyloveafrica in all your posts.

Our initiatives build confidence in such a meaningful way in the lives of our sisters. We are able to address inequality while promoting economic and social transformations. This is giving women opportunities and elevating their voices. -- Jess Wiederholt - Founder
